Tom Ballard and his climbing partner, Daniele Nardi, are missing on Nanga Parbat according to reports on the BBC.
The last contact with the pair was on Sunday when the BBC report they were at an altitude of 6,300m (20,669ft). The ongoing current tensions between Pakistan and India are said to be delaying search operations. The area was suffering bad weather at the time it is understood.
Tom Ballard made news headlines when he became the first person to solo all six major alpine north faces in a single winter. Tom’s mother, Alison Hargreaves, died on K2 when descending from the summit in 1995.
