Jimmy Marshall became one of Scotland’s finest-ever mountaineers and, as a winter climber, one of the most influential in the sport's history.

It is with great sadness that the family of Ron James, MBE, announced his passing on March 1st 2023 at the age of 90.

Paul was a competent climber, caver and skier and, amongst other things, helped to provide a safer environment for climbers, cavers and workers at height. He was awarded an OBE in 2004.
