It seems that the bloc action in Bishop is hotting up as temps fall off with both Ethan Pringle and Sean McColl getting down to business.

Posting on social media Ethan Pingle tells of a new highball he’s just done; Old Greg (V11/5.14b) in the Little Egypt area. Never short of enthusiasm in his posts, Ethan spilled the beans; “Super psyched to add a new school highball to the Bishop pantheon! This thing was soooo stunning from the moment I saw it, I knew I had to climb it! It's a pretty serious rig involving a V8ish section down low followed by a spanned-out V9 crux with some very insecure moves up high!” Pringle adds that he’s been spotted and cleaned a couple more lines too so he looks set to knock some more stuff out.

Meanwhile, Sean McColl is taking a well-earned ‘outside’ trip now that the comp season has finished. McColl set his sights on Lucid Dreaming (V15) and whilst it’s clear from his posts that it’s going well he’s getting frustrated by it too. McColl has run into the usual problems – he has the moves dialed but is suffering from thrashed tips and bad skin so is being forced to take enforced rest days.
CLIMBER will bring you more when we get it from these guys so watch this space…
