Black Diamond - Climbing Gym Cooperation & Rock Project
- Friday 11th November 2016
Together with 5 selected European climbing gyms, Black Diamond will engage in a multifaceted network cooperation. The gym climber is the major objective of this cooperation, where climbing gyms and the brand collaborate closely to offer the growing climbing community an authentic and attractive atmosphere.
“This cooperation is more than simple sponsoring. We promote a close cooperation on all levels, from communication, supporting materials to the development of joint events, like the Rock Projects.
Further current examples are the BD Tour of Black Diamond athletes Ines Papert and Nico Favresse with their multimedia shows and the networking among various European climbing gyms,” reports Christian Lehmann, responsible for Sports & Community at Black Diamond Europe.
A core element for Black Diamond and our cooperating partners is the Rock Project event series. This is about supporting climbers during their transition from gym climbing to outdoor rock climbing on real rock and to ensure this move will be carried out in the safest possible way. The goal is also to promote correct conduct in the outdoors and to support the preservation and protection of clmbing areas.
