Following the sad news on November 8th, 2014 regarding Dave Pegg’s passing, (see here for that report) Michelle Howson, Dave’s step-sister, is masterminding the publication of a book to celebrate Dave’s life.

Michelle has been in touch with CLIMBER to confirm that she is looking for stories to include within the book. Originally, Michelle’s intention was to produce the book for the family but having started research for the book it quickly became apparent to Michelle that many would like to see the book made public. Michelle, a designer/photographer, remains committed to the project’s central objective which remains unaltered – namely, and in here words, to “to publish a book that represents my step-brother's life; and all the great things he achieved in his 47 years; and to give my family and those whom knew and respected Dave a book to treasure forever.”
Michelle is looking for help, specifically; “What I am looking for is as many photo's, stories (funny or otherwise), tributes, articles etc. that we can put together into a book to celebrate the life of Dave. I know there must be lots of images his mum would love to see, stories she's never heard that would bring great comfort to both her and the rest of the family.”
Michelle continues; “There is so much people don't know about my step-brother; and I'm sure the same applies to us, since Dave was always far happier talking and writing about other people’s successes rather than his own. I have had some wonderful stories and photo's emailed to me already, but it is still very early days and I don’t want people holding back because they think what they have is not good enough for print, I disagree. I want this book to allow the reader to step inside the life of Dave Pegg; and see him through the eyes of the many different friendships he had, and would urge anyone who knew him or his work to contribute to the book to ensure that your own personnel memories of Dave live on in each and every one of us.”
