Chamonix Adventure Festival winners announced

Film buff’s eyes were firmly on the Chamonix Adventure Festival at the end of March has the four-day festival announced the winners of the 2015 festival.

Festival judges – Cyril Salmon (Montagne en Scence film series), Andy Houseman (UK alpinest) and Donna Veraguth (clothing designer for Faction Skies) got their teeth into some 24 films which showcased 12 different sports filmed in 16 different countries before awarding the prizes to the following films:
Jury Prize - VALLEY UPRISING by Sender Films
Spirit of Chamonix - DREAM LINE by Bjarne Sahlen
Best Storytelling - DELTA DAWN by Pete McBride
Best Cinematography - AFTERGLOW by Sweetgrass Productions
Environmental Advocacy - DAMNATION by Stoecker Ecological & Felt Soul Media
This year the festival exhibition of adventure sports photography was located in various places around Chamonix. Images of mountaineering, rock climbing, paragliding, mountain biking, skiing and highlining by Alexandre Buisse, Dan Milner, Jonathan Griffith, Sébastien Montaz-Rosset & Tristan Shu could be seen on banners hung around town.
