MOON Climbing is delighted to welcome Melanie Sandoz to the MOON Team
Melanie commented on joining MOON Climbing, “I'm very excited to start working with MOON. Having a sponsor that is going to support me for the next two years will help me focus on my training and climbing and our long term goal is to the World Championships in 2016. It’s also going to be very exciting to climb, compete and train with Ben. I love the MOON slogan “Train Hard Climb Harder!”
She continued, “MOON is a true climbing brand with a rich climbing heritage behind it and it’s an honour to be part of the MOON team. Ben was probably the first to climb a F9a and his approach to training was unique at the time. I think I can learn from him and for sure get some inspiration. This new partnership will also change my climbing focus slightly and I really want to send an 8b/8b+ boulder and focus more on traveling and outdoor bouldering. I live close to one of the best bouldering venues in the world, Fontainebleau, and I intend to climb there a lot.”
Ben Moon added this, “I'm delighted to welcome Melanie to the MOON team. It’s very rewarding that a former and aspiring world champion wants to be a part of the MOON team and help us to develop the brand and it’s products. We are only a small company but we are “100% climbing”. We understand what it takes to be the best and we want to support Melanie in achieving her goals as much as we can. I have always put an emphasis on training and it’s going to be very interesting for me to follow Melanie and her goal of winning the next World Championships.”
Ben finished by saying, “We also believe Melanie has huge potential to climb hard outdoors and look forward to seeing how her climbing develops over the next few years.”
