News Flash: Josh Ibbertson has repeated Batman (F9a/+) at Malham

After climbing Northern Lights (F9a) earlier in the year, Josh Ibbertson has now repeated Batman (F9a/+) at Malham.

Climbing his third route graded F9a or harder Josh Ibbotson’s ascent of the Steve McClure classic testpiece is the third after Eder Lomba made the second ascent back in May.

Posting on his Instagram account Josh said: “This has to be one of the best routes I’ve every done!” Josh’s first F9a was Rainshadow which he climbed at the very end of 2020.

Climber understand that Toby Roberts is also very close on repeating Batman as well.
