Stanage and North Lees Consultation
- Sunday 9th February 2020
If you’ve ever wanted to have your say about the way in which Stanage and North Lees is run there is a consultation currently underway on the future of this important area.
The 542 hectare Estate lies in the Dark Peak area of the Peak District National Park (PDNP). Set within wildlife-rich moorland, woodland and farmland, the Estate contains not only Stanage Edge but the Grade II* Listed North Lees Hall and Cruck Barn as well as estate cottages and farm, a campsite and car parks.
The consultation (which should take between 10-15 minutes to complete) runs until Thursday 27 February 2020, and seeks views on the various aspects of the PDNP owned estate so that a long-term, sustainable plan can be developed. The objectives of this plan will be to continue to care for the Estate and promote understanding in a sustainable way which respects and enhances wildlife, heritage and landscape; as well as using the Estate’s assets to best economic effect.
